Happy Halloween

It's Monday, and since to my relaxed work schedule, I have an entire evening free for Prison Break, Laguna and watching the Steelers eviscerate the Ravens on national TV. As a special bonus, I'll be continuing my Halloween tradition of watching the "Halloween" episode of Buffy, where everyone turns into their costume, which has to be one of the coolest ideas ever. Since you come to the blog trick or treating, I'll try to give out some tasty links and no bags of pennies nor tooth brushes.

(Maybe a razor or two, but no tooth brushes.)

*

And you wonder why FOX can't stay competitive without American Idol:

Because their one breakout hit of this year, Prison Break, is being taken off the air until May because they need a slot for 24. Never mind how much a Monday night of Michael Scofield and Jack Bauer would own in a post-football Monday night world, offering up a nice alternative to the fluff of CBS's comedies and Las Vegas, but you're telling me there's no place on the schedule for a show as popular as Prison Break.

Also hidden in the bottom of the article is the fact Arrested won't be going on past January. I almost wish FOX would just cancel it so it could get picked up by a more efficent network. This is ridiculous.

*

Credit ThrowingThings for this, but tell me this musical isn't the most whacked out thing you've seen in a while. The Peanuts characters getting together for Snoopy's funeral? With Eliza Dushku!?

Brilliance.

One of my favorite Sports Guy columns of all time has been brought from the Vault for All Hallow's Eve. I remember laughing out loud at least ten times the first time I read it. Enjoy.

*

There'll be a new offensive coordinator when Ol' Rocky Top comes to town Saturday. What does this mean? I'm thinking that this, along with the Vols' backs being pressed firmly against that mythical sports wall will make the first quarter really interesting. If they can throw the ball, playing with fire and getting to Brady without blitzing, it could be a long day. If their wide-outs continue to underachieve and we keep Number 10 clean, we'll be fine.

*

SELL SELL SELLLLLL.

*

So maybe Amazing Race has been a little underachieving this year, what with the too many people involved and not leaving the US until a month into it, but there's been redeeming moments, like the unintentional hilarity of the Black family and this, the mom of the stupid little kids careening into the back of a van.

*

I'm going to attempt to do a little work before my Monday evening sitting around begins, so for all of you going out tonight, have a safe, fun Halloween. Remember, you're safe from the vampires because the whole thing has gotten way too commercialized for them.

I'm amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that's
equally educative and amusing, and without a doubt, you've hit the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled across this in my hunt for something concerning this.
