Cornhole goes National
This picture is found on the back page of this week's Sports Illustrated: On Campus, which is a nationally ditributed insert in school papers. Ours comes in Wednesday, I know Penn State's comes in Thursday and I'm not sure about various other schools.
We spent the entire weekend playing CornHole out on the Quad, because it was nice out and we're lazy. I don't think I can count the amount of pictures that were randomly taken of Paul. We think it's because people coo "Aw, look, that little Asian thinks he's a cowboy living the American dream" and want to remember the humorous site they saw.
The writer of the article, John Walters, is an ND alum who may or may not have been doing a story on Bookstore Basketball and decided to snap some pictures of us out on the quad. He took a lot of pictures, and we here in Dillon 1A would like to thank Mr. Walters for not using a broader picture that showed how busy the entire quad was that day - which would have been a better shot in all likelihood - and instead concentrating on us.
Oh, and incase you're not from ND or are from ND and don't know everyone in the picture:
Paul is the Asian cowboy sporting some fly Oakleys, throwing the beanbag.
Matt is the cancer patient guitarist (Glee Club thing to support a guy going through brain cancer treatment, it's a really cool thing, Matt just looks like he's seven and has leukemia.)
Tommy is sitting in the chair, looking quite studly and not metro at all.
I am gazing at the same thing as Tommy, which I can assure you is awesome. Plus, my Oakleys finally go national, which is a long time coming.
This is actual the only picture in existence of Brendan doing work, so enjoy that.
We don't know who the guy behind Paul is, so if you have any idea - like that it's Adam Brody or the second Kennedy gunman - let us know.
Autographed copies of the photo and collectible CornHole sets are for sale in 110. All proceeds benefit the regrowth of Andy MacKrell's hair.
